2160-2400V 5KVA 120/240V transformer

I got to Groban on Friday at noon. I stayed overnight nearby and returned Saturday.

It's always worthwhile to stop at Groban Supply in Chicago. The surplus store was interesting, and also it was a sad day there because Walter the shop foreman had passed away on Monday.

I got some rheostats, big ones about 14" diameter, and some small ones of 8" diameter. Also got two variable autotransformers for adjusting voltage, and these are dual units rated about 15KVA (dual 240V/28 amps). One has input taps for 120/240 and a 0-560V output.

There are many interesting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial electronic items at Groban Supply and I reccommend them.

Pictures of what I bought are below. These were not in the 'catalog', and I removed these from some mosntrous and Frankenstienian old military shaker table controller cabinets that had been sitting there in the remotest of dark corners since 1974. There are alot of one of a kind items there and they get new stuff frequently, but I really like spelunking these ancient and respected landmarks of the surplus world. There's something to be said for crufty stuff.
